TiVo

TiVo is the best thing that has ever happened to television. TiVo is very simple to use. It’s got so many features that are so awesome. It’s got the season pass, wish lists, and it will also record shows on its own if it “thinks” its something you may like. The best thing is the ability to pause, rewind and slow-mo live TV. It also goes beyond TV with digital music and photos. You can transfer your stuff from your computer to your television and then if you want burn it onto DVD.
Unfortunately, my TiVo died last week. We have only had it for a very short time; I think the electrical in out apartment is bad. Our X-box got killed one day when we had a storm. It was plugged into a surge protector, but for some reason it still fried. Therefore, I do not think it is TiVo’s fault that it died. So, anyways, we called TiVo and they are going to replace it, but it is going to take a few weeks to get it all done. I am very sad. I miss TiVo very much. I did not realize it how much I need my TiVo. I love been able to watch stuff and fast forward through commercials and rewind things that I miss or be able to pause the show when I get a phone call. I can’t wait until my new TiVo comes.
Once you got TiVo there is no going back!

Well DVRs got alot cheaper NLP, no one ever said they weren't great but now that they are affordable... Years from now we'll be talking about Satellite Radio like it is a new thing (hee hee).
I LOVE OUR DVR TOO. I never waste my time watching something I don't want to anymore (though I've limited my TV time to maybe 3 hours an avg week anyway). But I do get to see lots of movies (all be it years after they are released but oh well- movie channels are great to have when you have a DVR).
I think DVRs are amazing time management tools. We use it for the kids too- we record movies and then we don't have to track down a tape/DVD. Makes life so easy.
Our kids are so spoiled though; they don't realize there's live without DVRs (though I'm having problems remembering myself- I feel bad for you Ree).
The other day big kid wanted me to rewind the radio... then justintime and I discussed it and decided that we are a totally on demand society. Life is good. We live in great times.
