Interviews

Today I had an interview at a company call Uniway. I got the interview through a temp company that I signed up with last week. I am not sure if I got the job they still have a few more people to interview after me. The lady that I talked to said that they might be making a decision before the end of the week.
There is something that I do not understand. It used to be that when you signed up with a temp company they would give you a series of tests, fill out some tax forms and then depending on your results and pervious experience they would place you in a position that best matches you previous experience.
Today with temp companies it is very different and is a two-day process. First day you interview, fill out tons paper work and go over pervious experience, takes 1 to 2 hours. The next day you go in for testing, which takes 1 to 4 hours. I understand the reasoning for testing, they need to make sure that you are not misrepresenting your self and so they can place you in the proper position. But, here is were is gets really annoying. If you are lucky and they actually have something available, you interview. At the interview is more testing and filling out an application and other paperwork. Then you still have to wait to see if you are going to get the job in question. It’s crazy!
For me, I go to a temp company so I do not have to go all the interviewing and BS that goes along with getting a job. OK, I can understand interviewing stuff but all this testing and paperwork it seems so silly.
For those of you that have a job be very thankful. Finding one sucks and is getting more and more competitive and less and less pay. I want my job back and Sanford House. But, then I would have to move back to Texas and that would not be good for my marriage.
O-well, things will get better soon and I will find another great job. I just know it!
